Hick Wap Press is an independent publishing house based in Sheffield that focuses on experimental and unusual underground literary fiction.

We publish relatively short runs of books, one at a time. Each book is hand-designed by an in-house artist and typeset by our own team. Once one title has sold out, we move on to the next. That is why you'll only ever see one title - the current one - on this site.

There may be new print runs of sold-out titles over time, but always in the same format as the original. There will be no sentimental, profit-milking special editions. The publication of new work will always take priority over the reproduction of previously published works.

If you are interested in submitting your work, please get in touch through the contact page. Just paste a 500 word summary into the 'message' section and include your contact details and we'll get back to you. Bear in mind we are an extremely small publisher, so do not take much on.
